Established in 2015, the Foot and Ankle Institute of Maryland is built upon expeditious and personalized care. Committed to utilizing both traditional treatment methods and leading edge care, carefully crafted individual treatment plans embrace each patient’s specific lifestyle. Through continued care, even while outside of the office,Dr. Harrison and his team are keenly aware of how to prevent and manage lower extremity injuries.  

 

 

Dr. Harrison is a highly educated surgical podiatrist. He treats every patient conservatively, avoiding surgery unless absolutely necessary. Dr. Harrison is also progressive, staying abreast of advancements to make the best new treatment options available to his patients! Dr. Harrison is will expertly coordinate a multi-specialty treatment plan to address the total health of your foot and ankle.

Harrison is a Board Qualified Podiatric Foot and Ankle Specialist. He performed a comprehensive three year residency at Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel University College of Medicine with emphasis on sports medicine, reconstructive surgery, foot and ankle trauma and diabetic limb salvage.

 

After 4 year great years as the foot and ankle specialist for an orthopedic group, Dr. Harrison branched out into solo practice. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 2008. He then completed a 3-year podiatric surgical residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he obtained diverse and extensive experience in both forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, lower extremity trauma, amputations, and diabetic limb salvage.

 

Dr. Harrison has the distinction of performing the first Total Ankle Joint Replacement at University of Maryland’s Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Dr. Harrison is progressive in his evaluation of the best new technologies for his patients. He often coordinates a multi-specialty treatment plan to address the total health of your foot and ankle. Dr. Harrison stays abreast of advances in the field through extracurricular coursework on the use of new techniques and treatment options for all types of injuries and for wound care.
